Spring Break in Beautiful Gatlinburg, TN | March 22, 2019

My family and I just got back from a 4 day spring break road trip to the Great Smoky Mountains! It’s absolutely beautiful!

There’s so much to see and so many things to do.  To me, it felt like a country version of Vegas (but family friendly)! Everything we did was a lot of fun and I wanted to share it with you!

We stayed in Pigeon Forge, TN.

These are my babies, Elise and Alina.  We visited the Smoky Mountain National Park Overlook.  Magnificent view!

We also got to visit Anakeesta Theme Park in Gatlinburg, TN.  The only way up to the mountain was on a gondola lift. It is a ride of a lifetime!

Family excited to visit Anakeesta theme park!

Elise and Alina had so much fun playing in the Treehouse playground!

After playing in the treehouse the girls went searching for Gems!

Gem mining was so much fun and entertaining! I totally recommend it!

Beautiful natural earth rocks!

Next to the Vista Gardens! Spring flowers were already starting to bloom! It was a pleasant sign of spring!

Life is better at the top!

Next to the Tree canopy walk!  Keep in mind all of this is still in Anakeesta.

Our family mountain top adventure comes to an end with our hearts filled with happiness and joy!

The next day we hiked up to beautiful Rainbow Falls in Gatlinburg.  I was so proud of my girls because this was their first “difficult” trail.  It was literally all uphill! We hike mostly flat and short ones but nothing this extreme.  This is a “moderate” trail and a tough one. I would think twice before considering doing this one with your little ones.  It took us 6 hours round trip.  We enjoyed every moment! Beautiful streams to jump and play in and awesome scenic views.

Everywhere I go I always seem to find a heart crossing my path.  I see it as a sign that I’m in the right place at the right time.  I hope you enjoyed some of our adventures on our spring break.  If you are considering a trip to the Smoky Mountains, do it! We made lots of great family memories!

Check out this awesome highlight video my hubby made of our trip!  Thank you for stopping by!
