My First Engagement Session back in 2014 | Salvage One | Chicago, IL

Hello my loves,

I wanted to share with you my very first engagement session, my experience and my journey.

I don’t remember how Monique found me but I do remember driving out to Skokie to meet her in person.   Old Orchard Mall at one the starbucks to be exact.  I remember being so freaking nervous saying to myself “What the heck are you doing, Maira”, “You’ve never done anything like this before”, “Turn around go back home”.

Till this day fear is what drives me as strange as that may sound.  If I’m not nervous about something I’m not challenging myself to my fullest potential.  I get that from my parents.

The meeting went really well so well that she signed the contract on the spot.  I remember telling her she would be my first wedding.  Monique was so supportive and sweet. She trusted, I would do a great job.  How is it that a complete stranger could trust me when I didn’t even trust in myself?  That was a mindset from the past since then I have better self-esteem.

Fast forward to today.  I’m doing what I love, still learning and growing.

I’m so proud of myself.  These turned out so pretty.

If I would have let fear take over me, I would have thrown away an awesome opportunity.

You’ll never know unless you try BOO.

If I can do it, you can too!

Enjoy!

This picture is a bit blown out.  I could resalvage it by correcting it in Lightroom, bringing down the highlights.

I love this picture!

They are so in LOVE!
