I’m taking full advantage of the slow season. It’s February 26th, and while things are quiet on the events side, we are incredibly grateful for the corporate gigs my husband has been getting. Sharing my work and thoughts is something I genuinely enjoy, but it’s not something I get to do as often as I’d like to. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the abundance of love and support I receive daily. Knowing I have a community that wants to see me succeed is an amazing feeling. Thank you for caring and for being here. It means the world to me.
We had the honor of capturing Vanessa and George’s wedding, and let me tell you, it was filled with so much love and happiness.
We started the day at Vanessa’s home, where the excitement was contagious. Seeing her and her family happy for the big celebration was so sweet. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is photographing the wedding details while the bride gets ready. Vanessa prepared everything perfectly, allowing me to create a stunning lay-flat of all her special items. I enjoy arranging dresses, invitations, bouquets, rings, shoes, and perfumes. It’s those special touches that bring the whole wedding story to life.
Speaking of making things easy, I firmly believe in educating my couples to enjoy their wedding day. I provide my couples with planning guides: a ‘Wedding Guide,’ a ‘How to Prepare for the Big Day Guide,’ an ‘Engagement Photo Session Guide,’ and a ‘Wedding Timeline.’ Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, so I’m happy to help.
After capturing Vanessa’s preparations, we headed to Sculpture Park in Schaumburg for their first look. George was so eager to see his bride! We used this time before she arrived to take some great groom portraits. We set up the scene when Vanessa came and let their moment unfold naturally. The look on George’s face when he saw Vanessa was priceless! The love between them was so sweet and genuine. It was a sweet.
We encourage first looks, but we totally understand and respect every couple’s decision. It’s your call, and we’re here to support whatever you choose. First looks have become a popular trend, offering a beautiful, intimate moment before the ceremony and often allowing for more time for portraits.
Next, we went to The Seville in Streamwood for the ceremony. Vanessa and George exchanged the most heartfelt vows. It was beautiful to witness.
The reception was a blast; it reminded me of my wedding. Traditional Mexican wedding celebrations were included! We enjoyed seeing the “First Dance as husband and wife,” the “vivora de la mar,” and the “money dance!” It’s awesome to see their culture and Mexican heritage.
Vanessa and George, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day. It was an honor. Everything turned out beautiful. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! Congrats!!
