I took on a new hobby, “GARDENING”and I’m actually enjoying it!
Here’s what I’ve learned these past couple of weeks.
It turns out I LOVE field flowers and perennials.
If you’re anything like me, I had perennials and annuals reversed. Yes, I’m serious.
Perennials are the ones that come back every year, Annuals do NOT!
I think that’s a pretty sweet deal. Don’t you think! Cha-ching.
Mulch helps the ground stay moist and keeps the weeds from creeping up. The finishing touch to the garden. Who would have know, lol
Adding fertilizer before planting your flowers helps the plant grow healthy and strong.
I’ve been waiting to plant flowers in front of my home for awhile, but never knew what to do or how to start. It was overwhelming and intimidating.
These youtube channels were really helpful and had great ideas!

If this inspires YOU to go out and start your own flower garden, I would love to see!

It’s part of the “thrift” family. Whatever that means. I fell in love with its small size and of course the color. I bought 7 of them!

This guy smells really GOOD!
English Lavender
I bought 7 of them!
This is a bush we already had.

Annabelle Hydrangea
My in-laws had these in front of their home and I loved them so much I had to get them too!
A big portion of the plants were purchased at Horvat’s nursery in Antioch, IL
I will post more pictures once it starts to bloom.
Stay well and healthy.
